Spatial Claims
2005 - 2009

Taped-off areas with higher-dimensional geometry

Spatial claims are taped-off areas which mark intersection lines between higher-dimensional geometry and visible space. They are placed in the space with black-and-yellow signal tape.
The complete sculpture can bethought but not be seen.

Despite their immateriality, spatial claims often have a direct effect on our behaviour in space, as we try to avoid passing through or crossing the marked area. They create a discourse about immateriality and truth which creates a reality in our minds.
